While on duty, it's important that a police uniform maintains a professional appearance while also withstanding the rough and tumble of an officer's everyday tasks. There are many different types of law enforcement uniforms that will be assigned based on a police department's requirements. From Class A, B and C uniforms to Federal BOP approved uniforms, Galls has all the necessary requirements for a complete police uniform. We also carry a wide array of related police gear.
Class A, B & C Uniforms

The Class B Uniform typically consists of a performance polo or uniform shirt, tactical pants, PDU pants, an armor carrier and a duty belt.
Class C Uniform: Class C is your tactical operator uniform that’s both durable and comfort-focused for intense situations such as riot control. They feature an athletic cut that’s typically made from ripstop or poly-cotton material and are reserved for SWAT teams, K9 units and other special operations teams. Police Body Armor
Most police departments require their law enforcement officers to wear some form of body armor. The type of body armor vest worn will depend on their department’s requirements and threats that they may encounter. These different types of police body armor include:
Ballistic Vests: This type of ballistic armor is designed to slow down the impact of a bullet. How the bullet’s impact is absorbed will depend on its threat level (IIA, II, IIIA, III or IV) and the type of armor worn: soft or hard armor. Keep in mind that while the higher the threat level, the greater protection, but also the weight of the police vest. Many patrol officers commonly wear soft body armor with at least threat level II or IIIA protection.
Stab Armor: Stab proof vests come in three spike levels (1, 2 and 3) for protection against different types of blunt force trauma. They’re designed to be worn under or over articles of clothing and will resist edged weapon attacks to the chest, back and sides. Stab vests are most commonly worn by corrections officers who are within close proximity to dangerous individuals in confined spaces.
Concealable Body Armor: This type of armor vest is designed to be thinner than a standard ballistic vest and lighter in weight. They typically come in a dark or light color to blend in with formal attire or plain clothes and offer threat level protection from II through IIIA. Undercover officers and security guards typically opt for the level IIIA vest for protection against the majority of handgun bullets.
Tactical & Riot Gear
In more intense situations such as riot control or active shooter cases, officers require full body armor protection. Galls’ riot armor selection offers riot police officers with protection against blunt force trauma, hard blows and penetration from sharp objects.
There are many components that go into a riot suit, but the most common set up includes:
- Riot helmets
- Gas masks
- Chest Protectors
- Elbow Pads
- Knee pads & shin guards
In addition to riot armor, Galls proudly carries a large selection of tactical gear including forced entry tools, night vision, MOLLE gear, tactical vests, rifle slings, riot shields and more. Shop for the most up-to-date selection of police officer gear and uniforms to receive the best deals.
