This is the width, in feet, of an area you see 1,000 yards away. As you look through your binoculars, imagine placing markers 1,000 yards from where you're standing. If you place one marker on the extreme left of the view, and one marker on the extreme right of the view, and measure the distance between each of them, that will give you your field of view.
You should know, however, that the field of view can change, even though the size of the binocular remains the same. Galls carries a wide selection of binoculars with different fields of view.
