Bike packs and saddlebags allow you to carry necessary gear and equipment
 |
You'll want a trunk bag or bike pack to transport such necessities as a repair kit, clipboards, forms and other minutiae necessary to your job. Some departments prefer saddlebags that hang from a rack on each side of the back wheel. Others choose large packs that attach to the top of the rack behind the rider or smaller ones that adhere to the handlebars in front of the rider. Still others go with a combination of all three, depending on the quantity of gear and equipment individual departments require.
Bike packs should be made of lightweight, durable material that repels moisture. Some packs come with special linings that inhibit water seepage. All bike pack fabrics should be easy to clean requiring little or no maintenance.
